Is StudyBuddy any good? How to decide for yourself

You shouldn't take our word for it. Here's what's inside, how the content is made and checked, where its limits are, and how to try it before you spend anything.

What's inside

  • More than 55,000 practice questions across more than 2,500 topics, for Grades 4 to 11.

  • More than 800 BuddyCasts: short audio lessons of about 4 minutes each.

  • Original NGSA-style and CSEC-style practice papers, timed and in the exam's format.

  • Flashcards, games, and Ask Buddy for help with tricky questions.

How the content is checked

The topics for each grade are built around what NGSA and CSEC test. Questions and flashcards are checked for accuracy before students see them, and the examples use Guyanese names, places and everyday life.

If you ever spot a mistake, tap Report answer under the question and we'll look at it.

What it isn't

  • It isn't connected to the Ministry of Education or CXC, and the practice papers aren't official past papers.

  • Ask Buddy can occasionally make mistakes, so check important answers with your textbook or teacher.

  • It works best alongside school, not instead of it.

Try it before you decide

You can try a question or hear a BuddyCast without an account. When you sign up, you get 7 days of StudyBuddy+ free with no credit card. And if you do pay, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first payment.

Then ask your child what they learned. That's the review that matters most.
